Concert: Kinda eclectic but my favorite shows have ranged from Barry Manilow to Kiss to Garth Brooks. Had always wanted to see the Oak Ridge Boys and got that chance last summer and they were amazing!!!

 

Coolest Person: Every country artist i have ever met has been super nice but Mel McDaniel and Billy Dean were both awesome and very interesting.

 

Pets: none in the house but my wife feeds the stray cats of the neighborhood so there are many at any given time on my porch.

 

My love for radio blossomed at a young age in my hometown of Parkersburg my favorite childhood station WXIL was located in the mall and I found myself glued to the glass window watching the DJ's at work for hours at a time. Coupled with my love of music instilled by my mother I knew this is what I wanted to do...I landed my first job in radio at the age of 15 at WBRJ and WEYQ in Marietta Ohio where i would eventually become the music director right after high school graduation. After a year stint at a Top 40 station in Charleston I came to work for the West Virginia Corporation in 1992 and served as Program Director of WKKW for three years. I have been fortunate enough to be able to combine my love of radio with my love of sports as I have been the voice of Bridgeport High School football and basketball on our sister station WAJR-FM since 1993 and the play by play announcer of the WVU womens basketball team since 2001. I also serve as the public address announcer at Mountaineer Field but I above all i truly enjoy spending my midday hours with you on the Bear.
